Ken & Berni Varela

Ken and Berni are originally from NJ, but moved to Easton, Pennsylvania in 1987, which is where they raised their five children. Ken is a graduate of NJIT in Newark, NJ, and works as an engineering manager for Talent Energy in Allentown. Bernie graduated from Rutgers University, obtained a Masters in Education from Moravian College and a Ph.D. in English Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College. She is currently employed by the Easton Area School District. Both Ken and Berni have been blessed to be able to minister together since their being called by the Lord in 1984. They have served as Sunday school teachers, Bible study leaders (Ken’s passion), and Worship leaders (Berni’s passion), along with various other church leadership roles. They look forward to where God will lead them in the coming years.
